Anna Meets Fashion
and the the Law

Welcome Everyone!

I started this blog as I would like to introduce you to two passions of mine: fashion and the law. My goal is to provide you with both practical and theoretical understanding about what this emerging area of law is. However, don’t expect purely legal posts. I will interview people who inspire me, cover the most interesting events, discuss the changes in the fashion industry (also from the business perspective) as well as write about anything applicable to the career I am devoted to.

However, before I do that, let me briefly tell you my story.

I grew up in a mid-sized city in Poland. When I was 19, I took a risk, and moved out to New York City, a place where I had not known anyone and where I had never been before.

While majoring in fashion management at the Fashion Institute of Technology, I became interested in licensing and intellectual property. I remember my first group project about developing a furniture line for Prada during a Business of Licensing class. I still wonder whether I was so creative because I enjoyed licensing, or because I was sitting in a beautiful Polimoda building in Florence where I studied abroad for a year.

In my junior year of college, I decided to combine my analytical skills with my desire to learn more about the law, and applied to law school. I still can’t believe I graduated a few days ago.

I remain closely connected with the fashion industry, serving as a consultant and a freelancer editor. I love photography (as a proof you can check out my Instagram account) and going to basketball games (naturally derived hobby as I’m 6’1’’ or 185 cm tall).

I hope you will join me on my blogging journey! I look forward to reading your comments, opinions and suggestions. My blog is also a space where you can share your voice about the creative industry.
